1. Information Collection and Use
To provide you with our core image editing services, the App may request access to certain features and permissions on your device:
- Photo Library / Photos Access: As an image editing utility, PictoGo requires permission to access your device's photo library. This access is used strictly to read the images you explicitly select for adjustments and processing, and to save the final edited images back to your device.
- Camera Access (Optional): If you use the built-in camera feature to take photos directly within the App for editing, we will request permission to access your device's camera.
- Device and Usage Data (Generic Technical Information): To ensure app stability, troubleshoot performance defects (such as crashes), and optimize compatibility across different devices, we may collect anonymous technical data through integrated tools (e.g., Apple's App Analytics). This data includes device models, operating system versions, and crash logs, which do not contain any personally identifiable information.
2. Data Processing Architecture & Face Data Policy
To provide advanced aesthetic enhancements, geometric adjustments, and portrait filter effects, PictoGo utilizes a hybrid data processing model designed with a privacy-first approach:
2.1 Local Processing (Client-Side): Generic image adjustments, including standard color tuning, brightness calibration, and regular filter applications, are executed entirely locally on your device. We do not monitor, review, or retain these private images.
2.2 Facial Features Analysis & Server-Side Synthesis: For advanced features that require precise facial adjustments (such as portrait retouching or facial expression editing), the App performs a structured keypoint analysis (detecting contours of eyes, nose, mouth, etc.).
Our Core Commitment on Facial Data: We do not harvest, profile, or permanently retain your facial biometrics.
The secure processing workflow is structured as follows:
- Transmission: The specific photos you explicitly select for facial editing are transmitted to our high-performance rendering servers via industry-standard SSL/TLS encrypted channels.
- Analysis & Synthesis: Our server maps temporary facial landmark coordinates solely to apply your chosen visual effects and render the final synthesized output.
- Immediate Clean-up: The original user-submitted image is instantaneously and permanently wiped from our server's active memory once the rendering phase concludes.
- Short-Term Caching: To provide a seamless user experience, allow historical comparison, and prevent data loss during network fluctuations, the finalized rendered image is retained in an encrypted storage cache. This cache is automatically and irreversibly purged after a strict 24-hour cycle.
*Note: Denying facial feature mapping permissions will disable these specific portrait enhancement utilities, but will not impact your access to regular landscape or generic photo editing features.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share, sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information or local data to any third-party organizations or individuals, except in the following limited circumstances:
- With your explicit, case-by-case consent;
- To comply with applicable laws, judicial proceedings, regulations, or enforceable governmental requests;
- Within the scope of essential integration components of the Apple iOS ecosystem (such as App Store transaction systems).
4. Third-Party Infrastructure and SDKs
The App may utilize third-party system components to handle specific transactional and operational functions:
- Apple In-App Purchase (IAP): Used to manage premium upgrades, features, or subscriptions. All transactional procedures are securely executed via Apple's native infrastructure. We do not collect, view, or retain any financial credentials, credit card details, or payment passwords.
5. Data Retention and Security
Except for the temporary 24-hour encrypted caching described in Section 2.2, we do not maintain long-term server-side storage archives for your media assets or personal identity. Any cached processing files generated locally on your client machine can be removed completely by clearing your device cache or uninstalling the App.
6. Children's Privacy
PictoGo does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable legal age in your jurisdiction). If we discover that any such data has inadvertently filtered into temporary technical logs, we will take immediate measures to erase it. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us.
7. Control and Revocation of Permissions
You maintain ultimate authority over your device permissions. You can revoke PictoGo's access to your Photo Library or Camera at any time via your iOS system settings. Revoking these permissions will disable corresponding features inside the App but will not retroactively affect historical processing workflows consented to previously.
8. Amendments to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to align with legal compliance updates or application adjustments. Any updates will be made available inside the App or published via the App Store. Your continued usage of the App after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
